The Cooper Community Branch Library

The Cooper Community Library branch is located at 206 N First St. Our library is more than just a place to borrow books; it is a modern, full-service facility that offers a wide range of resources, programs, and events for the entire community.

At the Cooper Community Library, you will find a diverse collection of popular reading materials, including the newest bestsellers. If we do not have a specific book you're looking for, we are proud to be a part of the Serving Every Ohioan network, which allows us to access an even broader range of books for you.

In addition to books, we offer various other media options such as books on CD, DVDs, and magazines. Furthermore, we offer copying, faxing, and curbside service. If you're looking for entertainment on the go, we have Wi-Fi hotspots that can connect up to five devices, ensuring you stay connected wherever you are.

Our library is designed to serve all age groups. For children, we have a vibrant children's department with a wide selection of books, educational games on our kid-friendly Awes computers, and engaging story times. We also have a dedicated teen section with materials that cater to their interests and needs.

Our Ann Sherry Makers & Creative Space is equipped with a 3-D printer, dress-up clothes, puzzles, puppets, games, Wii, and much more. We encourage you to explore your creative side and utilize these resources.

As an active community library, we host a variety of events and programs throughout the year. From book clubs to sewing workshops, from gardening classes to no-waste kitchen demonstrations, there is something for everyone. We also engage in outreach programs, participating in community events like the county fair, nursing home visits, and fun at the park days during the summer.

Please refer to our monthly calendar for specific dates and events.

The Oakwood Library Association

We are grateful for the support of the Oakwood Library Association, our friend's group that plays a crucial role in maintaining the branch and organizing many of our programs. They have been instrumental in bringing library services to the village of Oakwood.
